First National Bank of Volga—the oldest bank in Brookings County—is a bank built by customers.

Our Tradition

Each spring, First National Bank of Volga gives scholarships to two graduating seniors from Sioux Valley High School.

Every summer, we choose six homes from Volga with spectacularly manicured lawns to highlight as our “Feature Yards.” The winning homeowners receive $15.00 in Volga Bucks, which may be used at any participating Chamber Member business.

To make for a happy holiday, First National Bank of Volga sponsors a grocery-shopping spree at our local grocery store each November. This is a promotion for our ONE CARD ATM/Checkcard. During the months of September and October, our customers are registered in this drawing based upon card usage. Winners usually receive over $150.00 in groceries. The temperature at noon on Labor Day determines the time allotted for the shopping spree.

First National Bank of Volga also gives various monetary donations throughout the year to Volga schools and other area organizations.
